Hi everyone,

I'm new to the world of sublimation. I have done quite a bit of research and eventually decided on the Epson C88+ as a good "starter" printer.

However, I do have a problem. Tiny little black specks appear on my pages. When I do a heat press, those tiny little specks grow in size and are quite ugly.

I had read that some people fixed this by cleaning out the printer. I did have some initial problems getting things going, so I figured maybe I gunked things up the first time around. So I cleaned it out. Ran a few more prints, still the same issue. Checked the printer and ... all those same spots I cleaned were suddenly covered in ink again!

I thought perhaps my cartridges were defective, so I asked for a new set. I received them a few days ago, and ... same problem!

Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?

Bad/poor quality ink cartridges?
Wrong kind of sublimation ink for my printer?
Printer is bad and needs to be exchanged?
User error on my behalf?

I have included some pictures of what I'm talking about:

Any help is appreciated.
