I have a customer who wants me to print a playing card logo with a barrel racer in the center with a line of text above and below on a Gildan 100% cotton T...card ends up being 4 colors...white underbase, red, blue, and black. I normally would print the black last but he wanted to add color to the barrel so I had to print u/b, black, red, blue. Problem is when I print the black over the underbase (I underbased print/flash/print/flash), when I lift the black screen, it wants to lift some of the white ink. I've been using OSI Hybrid White (just though about it...I have some OSI white underbase I should be using...duh). Anyway, can anyone give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong? Using as light a stroke of u/b as I can, flashing for 10 seconds, etc. What have I missed?

I'd print black last. You could use a trap to make registration of the colours easier.

My guess is either you are under flashing, or over flashing and not giving the white time to cool.

Once you have flashed, touch the white. None should come off onto your hand. Now let it cool. Make sure the black shirt side screen is nice and clean. Walk away and make a cup of Jo, or something. Now come back and print your black. If it still sticks, the white needs more flash time, if it doesn't, you need more cooling time than you have been leaving between black and white screens.... Or position a fan over your cooling pallet.

Thanks for your help. I have a 6 color 4 station Atlas printer that I've been pretty much using like a 1 station with my flash dryer next to where I print. I moved the flash dryer 180 degrees from me, put a fan between me and the flash at the next station and everything works like a charm now. Talk about not using your technology to it's potential...but then again, I don't read the instruction manuals...lol. Thanks again, David
