Help needed!

I am doing laser transfers with TMC paper, 180 degrees (Celsius) and 15 seconds. The result is not good as quite a heavy mark remains on the transfer paper, meaning that not all color is transferred correctly. I have tried higher degrees, longer time different combinations of 190 degrees and 10 seconds, 185 degrees and 20 seconds but the results are equally bad.

What should I do, try higher temperatures + less time or lower temp + longer time?

Using OKI C610 printer if that is of any relevance.

Many thanks!

Try using more pressure. Also if your using a two step transfer for darks: Saw a great hint for better results in marrying of the A&B transfer sheets in one of the manufacturers videos using a simple $30.00 Thermo Laminator. They run the two sheets together thru the laminator to squeeze out any air to eliminate the specks, set the sheets and assure good contact when you press. Great idea and I've got one coming from one of the office supply stores, can't wait to try it

Please update your results, I use Image Clip laser for light garments. Would be great if that works. Currently I use 2 different heat presses for the process.

Have you tried the laminator yet? What were your results? Am thinking about getting a Magic Touch system and just doing my research ahead of time.
The laminator the bomb! It has cured all my adhesion problems. I wish I had found this earlier, I would have saved a ton on transfers and shirts that ended up in the trash. I bought a cheapie from an office supply for around $30 U.S. and it works perfectly. I now use the thinnest setting, run it through twice and then marry the sheets. The speckling and drop out is gone and I get perfect prints every time.

Bob - Which laminator did you get? I'm also a bit confused about the process. What do you put thru twice before marrying the sheets? I'm very new to heat transfers and could really use some advice. Thanks for any help.

I bought a "Royal Sovereign" laminator from Staples online, it was the cheapest listed ( around $30.00 U.S.). I take the A & B (the laser printed transfer and the white backer sheet), put them together and run them thru the laminator on the thinnest setting twice. This smooth's out the surfaces eliminating air pockets and adheres the two surfaces evenly. I get perfect transfers every time now using the laminator where as before it was dicey results at best.
