I had a new experience with printing today that I thought I would share.

Let me set the mood.
I have a self built vacuum table where I mostly print off fabric things. Posters, coasters, etc. Last week I was asked by my wife's work if I could print some aprons and bags for their children's camp coming up. I said sure but I have never printed on fabric before.

This is what I learned maybe it will help someone.

1. There is a BIG difference between a 110 frame and a 230. The 230 is perfect for non fabric stuff but does not put down very much ink when on fabric. The 110 does good but I think put down to much ink. Next time I am going to try a screen in the middle of the two.

2. Spray Adhesive is your friend us A LOT of it.

3. Get a manual press if you plan on doing this often.

In case you were wondering I am using speedball fabric ink. I am not a fan of plastisol nor do I have the machine to cur it.

I'd try to switch off the spray tack to be honest. The overspray is a pain to clean over time and I've heard from more then one person that it's not very healthy. Try to look into some water based adhesives that you apply with a spray bottle or an ink card. It might not be as quick, but they last on the pallet a lot longer so you're not applying it as often. Saves you money also. Easier to clean up, and it's safe.
