Let me share for just a moment.
I asked a well known graphic designer in the graffiti world to produce a design for a tee for me. I loved the design but for some reason I got it into my mind that the tee design should actually be an art print. I thought to myself I don't want a tee I want an art print from this artist. I took a poll from the collectors that are my customers. T-shirt or print?
I can't remember exactly but I think 1 person out of 3 wanted the tee. BUT.....I didn't want a tee. So, I went off and had 50 art prints made. Out of the 50 only 1 sold. Only 1. I got the print that I wanted and 48 more to go along with it.
I think one of my hardest decisions sometimes is not to listen to myself.
