Hello everyone,
I am trying to set up properly a DTG based on epson r2000 architecture with a dx5 printhead. I managed to get some decent prints on white garment, but when i try on black/dark cotton, every possible combination of preferences on acrorip software (ink channels etc) all i got is a black box , even if i try to exclude the black ink.
Note that i don't have any manual with the printer, it has 4 colours and 2 white cans which are connected to a sorta motor pump to make them circulate, i suppose. There's no way i can get white out of any print, managed once only very dark grey. Sorry for my bad english and thank you in advance for any suggestion. I can try and provide details of the printer there are also some buttons (from the epson control panel probably) with no label -hard to figure what they do, altho it is unlikey one of them exclude the whites.
If anyone have a clue i will be glad to send some explicative pictures..the printer is called tecjet r2000t. Thank you for your kind attention !

Thank you aidensnd, of course the shirt has been pretreated, but there is no movement at all in the white pipes. I have primed them yesterday, all the machine is pretty new. My thoughts is that there is the "replace white ink" option thats a epson internal function to switch from CYMK only to CYMK + whites. Having this option on replace the whites with black and that's exactly what's happening here. Bad thing is that the option is easily accessible in every Epson R2000 with a display, (see "Epson replace white ink" there are a couple of youtube video showing the short procedure on display) but this being a dtg derived from that model it has no display to navigate and switch whites on. I am sorry if the explanation is not clear and for bad english...it's hours i'm trying on this and no success.
