Hello all. I am new to using a Heat press and I am having a heard time with lint being pressed into the design when using a Teflon sheet. For example, i cut vinyl and press It Into the shirt and that is fine but If I have to add a second color of vinyl obviously the clear backing is now removed from the first vinyl press so I need to use a Teflon sheet. I then press the second color vinyl and when I peel back the Teflon sheet there are little bits of lint/shirt particles embedded in the first vinyl press now.

I wipe the Teflon sheet as best as I can before pressing but you can't always see everything. I had some blank Ryonet screen printing Transfer sheets laying around and used those for now but I cannot use them more than 1 time as the same thing happens with the lint.

Anyone else have this same problem? How did you correct it? Thank you in advance for any help and or advice.

What brand shirt are you using. Some brand like Gildan and Anvil or off brand shirt are known to have loose lint. You have to use lint remover before pressing anything on the shirt. You can get cheap lint remover at dollar stores. Teflon becomes the victim because it will have static built up on it that picks up the lint from the shirt then the lint gets pressed on the image.
