Hi guys,

I once saw and currently can't find any source for a special type of tape which can be used to join artworks together to make a larger piece.



With the current 'sello-tape' I have and tried it completely (80%)blocked out the image with the tape line down the exposed frame.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to buy?

3M makes a repositionable tape in a blue box that works well. Obviously, its not permanent, but it doesnt leave the adhesive residue behind causing films to stick together when you dont want them to.

Can you tell me if this tape you suggest has been tried on screen artwork allowing light to pass through it as if it wasn't there or close to that?

If not that then this might not be the tape or even possible?

3M Magic Tape. Don't use cheaper alternatives.

can't you just tape above and below the design on the films so it doesn't interfere with the image?

i would think if you have big enough films it'd be no probs.

scotch tape lets light pass through. Unless i'm misunderstanding what you're looking to do, plain old scotch tape should work fine

Thanks for all the replies guys! Scotch tape now that's the name that rings a bell. Hopefully others find this beneficial.
@miktoxic, I'm using some very unorthodox methods to get this one off screen job tackled!
