Hi,

I'm looking to buy a tajima and the only ones that the store near me has are the sai and the tmbp s1201c. From what I understand the sai is a compact,more mobile version? The difference in price is about $6000. Can someone explain the difference?

No difference when you are comparing Junk to Junk Buy a ZSK or Barudan. Tajima has not had great success with the new models as of now. The TMAR , TMBP have had several issues out the crate.

I would also consider Happy's compact machine models which are similarly sized to the Brother and the Sai. The 7-color Journey machine can be had for 7-8K and the 12-color Voyager for about 2K more. The Voyager has been around for over 15 years and has a monster-sized motor and drive system in it (for an 88 pound machine), so it can be run really hard without batting an eyelash. But if you're fine with standard production capability, the Journey machine otherwise has the same specs and both run really well. Ask any owner - both machines are workhorses at great prices.
