I am brand new to embroidery- I just bought an SWF 1501C over the weekend. The guy that I bought it from recommended a digitizer, but when I go through the 'ordering' process, I don't know how to answer one of the questions. I tried e-mailing the digitizer, but I don't think he speaks very good English, so I wasn't able to get anywhere.
Question-
"Stitch" was listed with a whole bunch of options to choose from a drop-down menu. Some of them were brand names, but SWF was not one of them, so I am not sure what I need to choose here.
Help?

that sounds really strange to me. ordering a digitized file shouldn't be a difficult process. i'm not sure exactly what he's looking for with "stitch" (that could be a bunch of different things), but if he's looking for the format you need, you need a dst file for an swf.

usually how my process goes is someone will email over their graphics file. let me know if its going on left chest, caps, or something else. they'll let me know if its going on something funky (like maybe fleece) and add any important information like if i need to leave anything off or add anything. they'll either ask for a quote, or tell me to go. then they either get their quote, or the digitized file emailed back.

The only thing that is close to that is "Tajima DST." Would that work?

Here is what he replied to me in an e-mail about what it was for: "Please select your machine format you will be using on stitch section"

Yes, that is what you need. SWF's are very similar to Tajima's, they share a number of parts or so I've been told... Anyway, yes, the machine recognizes DST files so tell them Tajima DST.
