i ordered my first box of blank shirts and went with the gilden 8000. the shirts fit ok, the price is pretty good, but the neck is to big. does anyone have any suggestions on a similarly priced shirt that doesnt have such a large neck?

My experience is that Hanes have a slightly tighter neck, but sizes don't tend to vary much between manufacturers (unless you drastically change shirt styles - like moving from a Gildan to an American Apparel shirt, but then it'll be a lot more than just the neck that gets tighter).

Hanes 100% cotton, Anvil, Gildian, Jerzee all fit pritty much the same to me....

You may like a fitted T, but pricing will go up.

You have to experiment and buy samples to find the fit and price you like. Thats just basically a matter of preference. Check out jiffyshirts.com and other places where you can buy one shirt with little or no cost increase. For what is worth I am a fan of the hanes beefy tee. For fitted tees look at epacific.com. The price is in the range of promotional type shirts with a more fitted look.
