Hello!

I am about to start a clothing company. I have hired a designer and finished the designs, I have a website up and running, I have registered the company and I have (well, more or less) a business plan.

But I do not have the actual clothing yet.

I have been doing quite a lot of research, but most of the threads and articles I have found are from 2007-2011. The information might still be up to date, but I want to be completely sure. It's especially the price to quality ratio (value for money) I wish to see if has changed.

I am targeting fashionable teenagers and young adults from 14-27 in Scandinavia and Europe, thus I need the t-shirts to fit this market.

If I am not mistaken, the following shirts are recommended: Alstyle 5301, 1301 and 7101, Next Level 3600, Tultex Fine Jersey Tee, Bella + Canvas 3001C, American Apparel.

I am not particularly interested in American Apparel as I believe you are paying extra for the brand. I need blanks with tear-away tags.

I would try to order samples from the different companies to find out for myself, but this is quite a challenge being based in Scandinavia, and I would love to hear a second opinion from someone with more experience than myself.

The question is basically: as of 2014, what brand/model gives you best value for money for fashion t-shirts?

Thanks!

By fashion tee, are you referring to the "skater" crowd or a more athletic/modern crowd?

For the skate crowd, you want to go with alstyle 1301 which is the most common tee used. It has the test away tag and its a true-to-size fitment.

For an athletic fitment, you may want to try the Anvil 980 tee. It has a great fitted cut and super soft.

Hello, thank you for answering! I am referring to the athletic/modern crowd, if that's the term used here. I am going after people who would wear A.P.C, Cheap Monday, Acne etc. (in other words, the swedish/french designers).

I will definitely check out the Anvil 980 tee!
