So sublimation transfers just put the design onto the shirt..without the trasnparent backing?
Dye sublimation actually puts the design INTO the garment. However, you have to use a special t-shirt type (polyester blend) and it doesn't work with dark color shirts.

If you buy a white t-shirt from zazzle.com (with something printed on it), you'll see the feel and quality of dye sub.
