I am using cobra ink with epson 1100 and when i print and press the colors are very light and faded. 1ST TIMER never done this before so any help appreciated. I printed it with the white glossy paper side up was that right? i am using the corba paper also. Is there some where i can call and get help or website? thanks

I've never used cobra paper, but I've never seen a glossy dye sub transfer paper.

That said, what is your internal temp? How long are you pressing for?

1 are you pressing on 100% poly t shirt
2 what time and temp are you using
3 assume you have high temp ink ( that is not available anymore )
I use 375 to 400 on poly shirt for 20 sec no teflon sheet

Have you called Cobra? Also check their website. I thought I read they have either Videos or Tutorials. Please post your results to help others just starting out.

I believe that Cobra has discontinued selling what they called 'high temp' ink which was probably chinese sublimation ink... at first they did not provide an ICC profile...later I understand that they did have an ICC profile for some printers. If you purchased the ink within last few months, it may not be a 'sublimation' ink. call Richard at .:: Cobra Ink Systems::. This is where the term CIS began don't know why they discontinued but I suspect pressure from Sawgrass...but who knows...maybe the demand and profit margin was not worth the hassle
