This issue is still with Sawgrass support, but has been for three days now, so I'm hoping someone may have experience this problem and has a resolution to share. Just uncrated my DA after factory service, (no shockwatch problems).
Set-up and power on no problem, "on-line" lights indicate normal mode, requested to press "Auto-Height", the Jig moves halfway into the tunnel, stops, an proceeds to emit an enormous ratcheting sound.(Something like the sound made when we put cardboard on the spikes of our bicycle wheel when we where young).

This happened on initial set-up, but after two re-tries let me start installing my new Ink Carts where I got to 49% before a power outage interrupted the process. When it came back this is the scenario on reboot, and will not proceed beyond this stage.
So far checked the following:
-Obstructions on Rails and Print-head (NONE) to complete extremes of travel; -Boot sequence on large LCD is OK; DA will change from Normal to Precision; -Tried the start sequence with and without Jig; -Manually raised print-head (just in case); Did move printer carriage manually, so travel tab is not engaged.
I cannot get past this point, and therefore cannot get into the Epson Control Panel to verify printer settings or finish new Cart installation.

Would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks:confused:

Problem resolved, total elapsed time 5 days. This was no small feat and I would be glad to share this process with anyone that might run into similar problems.
Sawgrass help, although it took some time to resolve my problem, was exceptional and attentive to the issue. I can't thank them enough.
I'm not certain if the procedure will become part of the web based FAQ's, but I know it is documented and will not take this long to resolve next time.
For what it's worth, I'm very critical of people or entities that make commitments and then walk away, in this case it's been a very good experience.
In my view if they support all their products in the same fashion, they are a company to do business with.

Hi Wolf,
I sent you a PM last week but you havent answered, maybe it didnt get through.
My machine is also stuck on Auto height during boot.
Could you share how you managed to sort the problem? I will be most grateful.

Hello Earl, My apologies for not replying sooner, we have been travelling South since the 8th stopping in on friends and family all the while. If you are still in need of my two cents worth I would be very happy to share my experience with you. Although my printer has been mothballed for the winter I have used 1.5 Carts troublefree since I resolved my issues.

My direct mail is wolf@Garmentprinter.org
Regards.
