HeY aLL!

1st post so thanks in advance to all that help out..
My question is, how long will a printed dye sub heat transfer be good for if saving for future print. Reasoning.. I'm looking in to purchasing the art 1430 basically for printing size and all around economical value. I understand you MUST use it weekly or risk clogging the print heads. That being said, can I run a print a week and save them for later heat press transferring? And if so how long will be they good for without losing quality?
My other thought was possibly buying 6 refillable blanks and putting cleaning fluid in it and running them thru after a monthly session.

Dye sub ink is so cheap, just set up an automatic scheduled test page print either on a daily or weekly basis. use plain paper and recycle what you print on.

Doesn't have to be an elaborate test print. Just something where all 6 colors fire.

And saying that Joe, We have a 'catalogue' of the usual pics for kids hi-viz's etc consisting of things like fairies and Tractors some go back a year or so and I pressed one last week (a silhouette fairy) and it came out fine, they are stored in file envelopes and are sawgrass on trupix.

sounds good, wasn't sure how much ink id'e blow thru just to keep print heads fresh every week.
but in gereral, how long will a dye sub print last before it needs to be used or considered garbage?
