So i typically take my screen to the washout booth spray both sides let it sit for a sec then spray again.. etc until it starts to wash out. Using just a garden hose sprayer BTW.

It seems that it washes out faster if i continuously spray both sides back and forth. Yet i have heard and read that you can spray both sides then let it sit for like 5 min then come back and it will wash right out. But that hasn't really been the case for me...

My question is should you spray it then let it sit or should you continuously spray it till the image it developed.

I saw a video once where the guy put the screen in, sprayed both sides then turned a knob and 4 little mister like sprayers that were mounted in his washout started spraying the screen(2 in front 2 in back). He said he would let that sit for a little bit then when he came back it washed out really fast and easy it looked like. i'm assuming this is going by the logic that you spray it constantly...

What are you guys thoughts on this???

I always spray both sides to saturate and dilute the emulsion (I also keep the back-light turned off to limit additional exposure) let it sit for 15-20 seconds, spay both sides again, wait another 15-20 seconds, then flip the light on and final spray seems to wash out with total ease.

I think of the small soaking times as diluting/losing the emulsion so that it is spray out gently instead of being forced out with lots of consistent pressure.

Seems to work for me, but I feel emulsions can wash out so differently that you should not be afraid to try something else because you may find you like it much better and also try different combinations of spraying and sitting times.

...Just my 2 cents.... and its worth what you paid for it.

Sounds like you maybe over exposing. But if you use less time and your blowing out then you have film problems letting too much light though.
