I was wondering if anyone would share their squeegee cleaning technique. Which chemicals? Parts washer? Methods? Manual and automatic.

Thanks

To clean my manual squeeges, i get most of it off with with a scoop blade then use a rag with ink remover on it to get the rest off. Then a clean rag to dry and get any parts i missed.
A scrubbing brush and water. Works perfectly every time, but I used waterbased inks. Sounds like maybe you use plastisol?

that pretty much what i do to clean it
Same as Rico except every couple of days I'd hit them with a scrub brush to get the nooks and crannies. Back then we used a 50/50 mix of acetone & xylene but I hear there are friendlier chemicals these days.
That's the way I do it right now but with Franmar chemicals. I am looking to step it up a notch. I am running an auto and am going through lots of screens and spending too much time cleaning squeegees.
CCI sells a Squeegee and Screen Cleaner Re Circulating Booth. If you are doing a lot look into it.
Looks like a $2000 parts washer to me. I can get the same thing at Northern Tool for 1/3 the price.
sounds good. was just suggesting a recirc booth if you are doing a ton.
I tape them up to keep from scrubbing the nooks and crannys. Usually a simple wipe down on the blade and untape is all that is needed.
