Spray out DTG?

Has anyone tried to spray out DTG inks? I tried our spot cleaning gun and it didn't work. Was wondering about putting just water in it and spraying before pressing?

Do you mean cleaning DTG inks from a t-shirt?
It can be done BUT you have to do it before you final cure your print ;)

The cleaning solutions sold by most screen supply houses for the spot cleaning guns work great on plastisol ink. Unfortunately they don't work at all with the water based inks used in all the digital garment printers. Once this ink is on the garment it's very hard, if not impossible, to shoot out without leaving a spot. We did check originally with the spot gun supplier we use for a cleaning solution that would work. The only one they could recommend that would probably work was acetone based. Extremely flammable and dangerous to work with. We decided it was too big a risk to have our customers use.

We have found that you can just wash it out with water if it is done before it is cured and you are trying to get a small amount of ink out (we tried removing an entire print that was 10X9 and it wasn't as effective as trying to get out a 3.5" LC design).
