Is it possible to use ink spot removal fluid without the gun?
If this answer is posted someplace else sorry.. I tried to find it but could not.

I have spiff superklean ink spot removal fluid..but no gun.
I realize I will eventually have to get a gun but while I am waiting is it possible to put the fluid in a spray bottle or would that be a rather dumb idea?

I put in a stay bottle but a chemical resistant one. It will ruin the spray bottle if left in there unless its a really good one.

It also works much better is the spot gun though

How well it will work depends on how big the area is you have to remove, the density and color of the ink and importantly the type of material you're removing ink from. Both small and rather large areas of ink can be effectively removed from some nylon jackets without a gun for example. The ink lays on top. With cotton, blends and synthetics, a fluid wet rag can be used to to soak ink through to another rag on the other side.

Cured ink is another story.

I believe a spot cleaning gun is essential when properly used. And there definitely is a technique to it's effective use. It's a wise investment, you should get one sooner than later and it will pay for itself money wise and more importantly headache wise LOL. Prices range all over the place and used ones can be had.

On another note, in some instances (not all) it's better to acually cure the ink before shooting it out. It kinda crumbles leaving less spread. Store bought or DIY exhausting isn't absolutely necessary but an added advantage.

Cure the ink then shoot it out, and by the way, don't keep running when you know your printing leaves un- wanted spots in the design, truth is, buy extra garments, so if you have this problem, hope you catch the miss print immediately, auto presses aren't so forgiving, rule number one is pay attention, number two, get a gun in case you didn't follow rule number one!
