is there another dealer that deals with so cal besides mesa?
I am considering the k3 or viper and sent a very specific request for information (and specs) and got a very obviously canned email reply telling me firstly about the wonderful embroidery machines they have to sell me then telling me about the wonderful rhinestone setting machines they have to sell me and then the software to run each of them. After this, they run down the financing available for the aforementioned.
finally.... there is a short blurb stating the sell dtg machines and a link to the main site in texas. Though I like what I have seen about the machine, this kind of "blah blah blah, and oh yeah, if you still want a dtg machine we can point you to those we sell" approach terrifies me as to what their service would be after a sale.--- specially as the letter was sent by the receptionist and sales people evidently can't be bothered to sell???

any input on other dealers?

it's the anaheim office that sent to form letter...
I later remembered that when I WAS looking for an embroidery machine I went there for a scheduled demo and information appointment (one on one) and got a brochure handed to me, the secretary walked me into the warehouse, pointed at the machine with her coffee mug (which she never did manage to put down once) and said "there it is. do you want one?" no demo, no practical info (no testing of samples I brought nor files to stitch).

so, I guess I need another option or another machine choice....

Ask for Ami at the office in SoCal. It isn't hard to get hold of her. If you make an apt. with a sales person they will do a demo for you.

As for service, it is all scheduled out of TX. So if you are on the west coast you are out of luck at 3pm. Tech help over the phone is about 24-48 hours and getting someone to come out is 2-4 days in our experience.

As for supplies, we use Madeira and AllStitch for emb and DTGInks.com and Equipment Zone for DTG.

I have eliminated mesa and their products form consideration.
after an exchange with "ami" both in emails and remembering her lack of interest when I was searching for an embroidery machine, I can't trust a company that would have such horrendous service.I won't go into it, it wouldn't be polite or professional, but if that office and that person is the best they can do on this coast, I want nothing to do with the associated products.

Onward and upward.

thanks for your recommendations all the same, I appreciate your imput.

I could be wrong but if you want a Viper (new) and are west of the Mississippi you'll have to deal with Mesa....that said as Fatcat mentioned there are other DTG options that are similar machines.

If I was going to spend that kind of money on that printer I'd look at the Veloci-Jet and the Mod-1.
