Ok im a 19 year old kid who doesnt really like commercial stuff....i try not to be all mainstream. So i decided like a year ago to make my own shirts. i used iron on i made some some couple of good ones i just bout some shirts some champs they have that special 5 for 20 and i juss bought some iron on print shees from best buy and did it with my iron in my room so they came out decent cuz some of my friends wanted me to make them shirts so i did. well the thing im goin at right now is like everyone else is askin. is there a better way to do this when i was makin shirts i was makin a profit cuz i would tell the person to buy the shirts themselves and ill iron on whatever they wanted and the sheets were like 5 sheets for 10 bucks and i would charge them 5 dollars...i want to make more complicated designs ive been talkin to my friend and he says to use one of those exacto knives but itll take too long to cut them out...screeniing is to much for juss one person like me...so help me out please...thanks

Many of use first dipped our toe into printing using ironons.

I'm now a screenprinter, and I agree that to screenprint yourself would probably not be a good idea at this point (large entrance expense, specialist skills, etc). You could however get items screenprinted to order from a local screenprinter and make considerably more profit than you are currently, although there will be minimums (sometimes as low as 10, but the higher the order, the lower the cost).

Proper heat transfer is also a possibility, and I'm sure one of our resident experts will be along shortly. This would require more cash to begin with (but nowhere near the setup for a personal screenprinting set), but has a very gentle learning curve and allows you to make to order.
