I ran out of film so I used laser vellum to output for a 2-color job with tight registration. I had to splice the sheets because my laser printer is 8 1/2" wide. When I set up the job I found that the registration was ever so slightly off in both directions top and bottom...Nothing I could do but burn a new screen (?)
But I had an idea. Since I was using retensionable screens (the square kind, not rollers...) I tried torquing the screen that was coming up short just to stretch the mesh out a little bit...and the print dropped right into perfect registration!
I'm sure I'm not the first person that has done this, but it was a first for me and it saved me all the time I would have spent reclaiming and burning the screen.
