As i'm starting out, alot of my tees will mainly have font on them. Is there any software that is better for printing font than pictures, or are they all pretty much the same. I would ideally like to buy something that is good for both pictures and font.

Adobe Illustrator is very good for that. Combined with Photoshop you will be very much set.

Drawing programs Like Adobe Illustrator are best for type. you have options on drawing programs. Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw,Macromedia Freehand and Deneba Canvas.

Turns out that Micro$*** wants some of the Graphics market, they have a free betta of there program here http://www.microsoft.com/products/expression/ of cource you have to be running thier OS

Vector graphics packages are always better for producing sharp lettering.

Not anymore :-O Photoshop has postscript fonts built in, they rip over!!
