Hello, my name is Alex and I am looking for a user friendly software to design my T-shirts. Mostly clipart and fonts, but I would like to be able to alter them if I need to. I am new to computers but I am eager to learn. My price range is about $500.00 max. Can someone please help me I would appreciate it. Thanks!!!

From what you have indicated, CorelDraw either X4 or X5 would be my choice based on your budget and it has a somewhat shallow learning curve.

I don't know if you will get any of the Adobe products for that amount unless you qualify for student edition.

But those that use it will no doubt advise. :)

If you are looking for a vector app, Illustrator or Freehand MX are both great for design and are very versatile with many tools. They are under $500 each.

Inkscape is a great start, but a bit limited!

Invest in a good app and in the long run it will be worth it!

Download INKSCAPE, play with it first, and proceed from there. Or you can download (30 day?) trial versions of Corel or Illustrator. Save your $500 for later.
