I'm considering offering order fulfillment for some of my customers. The idea would be a bit like cafepress & others, but more focused. I want to be able to set up online storefronts for different clients, where their customers could order shirts straight through me. I'd want my clients to be able to login & monitor their sales, but I'd want to be the only one with full access to actual customer & order information.

The process would be: I set up account w/ client, including designs & products, etc.; I manage the stores, order, & fulfillment; I receive payment online; at regular intervals, I send checks/epayments to clients for their percentage of sales.
(If clients could customize their own store front with graphics, that's a bonus.)

I've read some related posts, and plant to investigate Magento, CubeCart, and Pikiware. But if anyone has info on software or services that can help me accomplish this, please share!

Sounds like pikiware is the one you want to look into for what you describe.

I'm also wondering about what can (& can't be done) to start this up as affordably as possible. It would be a new endeavor, and wouldn't be generating a lot of sales at the beginning, so if there's a way to keep expenses down, I of course want to find it.
