Had to design a "Spirit" design for a high school softball team to mostly be worn by parents. Team colors: forrest green, black, and white. Going on a forrest green shirt.

Too un-spirity? It's hard to gauge the fine line between "cool" and "parent's will wear it". But I imagine most of the parents will be close to my age and I like stuff with a bit of an edge.

Comments please?

Nice design. I is very Conservative. I take it you used a 3 color Screen Press to print your designs?
This is a 2 color design, My client actually has a 6 color press. But it's cheaper for him if I keep the number of colors as low as possible on his designs.

I dislike very much when customers judge a design they are re-selling to someone else based on how he likes it. He is not selling it to himself. :(

A good way to get a better read on "what they are envisioning" is for them to do a few google searches and send 3 examples.

I like the design overall. The placement of the "C" kind of breaks my attention, but I really don't have a suggestion for a better placement. Please DON'T make the softball yellow:confused:. I don't know who came up with that idea that softballs have to be yellow. I watched 3 college softball playoff games yesterday and not one of those teams used a yellow ball:rolleyes:

The MC drive me nuts..plus the lines really do mess with my eyes..maybe less lines behind the ball..other than that great design..i like the yellow ball idea but you need to be careful when you design for high school some are only allowed to use school colors.

Yeah, I went back and forth with myself on the placement of the "MC". I had to try to break up the space a bit, probably not the best solution. Thanks for the insight everyone, When I work alone day after day without anyone to bounce designs off of, It's hard to know if I am on a good path. It's great working from home, but I'm always home if you know what I mean.

Thanks again, all great critiques.

When I think of Sports or Softball and I don't have time to design Softball designs I get inspired when I go to Proworld and see the stuff that they do. I do something similar to what they do. But they are really good at designing Softball stuff
