How do I do a design for a soccer ball with the year 08 in the middle of the ball? I use illustrator. I know this is probably a silly question, but I am not that good on it and I can't find a template at transfer express to do this.

1) Open illustrator, corel, inkscape, or whatever tool you use
2) Make a soccer ball or get a piece of clip art and center it in your document
3) Type "08" and scale it to the size you want
4) Put it in the middle of the soccer ball

I can do that, but the 08 blends with the soccer, I was not sure how to get around this.

add a stroke to it maybe?

yep, add a stroke to it and you will be good. set the stroke to outside in illustrator

yeah man, like, if your background is white add a white stroke to simulate a knock out - the larger the stroke the larger the knock out.

make sense?

try it.

set the stroke to outside, or make a copy of the 8 and paste behind to make sure the stroke doesn't close your letters in.
