I have a vague understanding of the design process for shirts, was just wondering if someone wouldn't mind going through the industry standards steps.....

my understanding
a design starts as a sketch which is scanned into a program such as illustrator where it is cleaned up and made into vector format and this is where i fall off the ship.... such as how i convey placement or size of the design etc...

I'm not confident in that explanation but thats what i think i know

I set my page format at 12x14 inch. That's usually as large as I print. It's just matter of what looks good. I generally put the top of the design 5" from the top of the screen for back print and 4" for front. My platens are set so that this gives me about 4½" back, 3½" front. God Bless.

Hi, I am primee and would like to offer a suggestion.

Most times when I create artwork, I usually sketch it using the tools in Adobe Illustrator
or Corel Draw. This alleviates having to scan an convert to vector.
