Skateboard Printing / Heat Transfer Needed. Vinyl Okay too?

Hi there.

Already did an extensive search on TSF and just couldn't find what I was looking for.

I'm looking to print my own graphics on skateboards.
Looking for all methods possible. If you or you know someone who can print with screen printing, digital printing, heat transfer, or custom vinyl , please let me know.

All Links are welcome. PMs are welcome.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction :)

It looks like your only options are water based inks or sign vinyl. God Bless.
Shoot me a call, should be able to walk you through it

Thanks Jason.
I'll give you a ring hopefully a little later in the afternoon.
If you see this before I give you a call, if you can PM me a little bit more about my options!
Have any of you guys found any companies? I was looking too for heat transfers on skateboard decks.

With your research have you heard anything about this company?
sk8 factory

They are all over the internet under different .com's

http://www.customskateboarddeck.com/

$15.50 per deck.

- Opinons on the company and quality?

*Other companies links please!

- Does anyone here heat transfer with the quality of the big boys on skateboard decks?

Thanks!

If they are specially treated to accept sublimation, that might work. You can't use plastisol transfers for any thing but fabric. God Bless.

I've spoken to the owner of that company as I too have noticed he operates under a few other .com's.
He seems pretty responsive with his replies and seems generally a nice guy.
I believe he's located here in California.

If you're interested, definitely give him a ring. I've bookmarked him for future use. I might start off with vinyl though, and work my way up.
they can be done just about anyone you would like. screen printing most often just requires making a jig and a frame so the screen sits properly on the board. cut vinyl is always a simple option, or you could go with a printed vinyl and I would recommend a heavy laminate over the graphics.
Screen Printing for boards requires too much of a setup. Not many local printers in my area offer it.
Going Vinyl with a heavy laminate on top is our first option. Since we're sampling the quality first, it won't break the bank. Then, we'll most likely go heat transfer?
If it is going to be a pain to screen print, what makes you think trying to get the deck in heat press to apply a transfer will be any less of a challenge?

If the printed vinyl works, go with that. Same theory as a vehicle wrap, just a skateboard deck instead.
Order enough of them, and it won't cost a lot per item at all.
