Hey everyone, I just found this section. I think this is a great idea to get feedback on our sites from each other. I would love to know what you all think of my site. It was professionally made and hosted by a friend at Fingerlakes1.com.

Lake & Kenosha Counties - Waukegan, IL - B&C Custom Ink

I would love to hear the good and the bad so feel free to let me have it, I will not be offended by anyone's opinion.

Thanks again guys,
brad

Your contact information is lacking. You have a phone number - good. But there is no email address, no physical address.. nothing that indicates a real company. And I didn't see any prices listed anywhere. I'm thinking if you're going to be taking orders online a price should be there somewhere before ordering.

Thank you for the feed back Loretta, I didn't want my address listed as I work from the basement and I didn't want people to think they can just "stop on in" and I was afraid that customers might google map me and see that it is a house and move on. The form on the "contact us" page is for E mail, but I guess having it listed on the page would be good too.

My site is not so much for ordering as much as contact. The styles you see are examples of jobs I have done already, not shirts for sale. Did it give you that impression? the "order Tee shirts" tab is for quotes(after you summit it will ask you to upload your art), I see that now as confusing and will address it. This is why I love feedback, you can always find something to improve on.
I work from home too.. basement, family room, spare bedroom, living room. I think I need a bigger house. I have my address listed on my contact us page, just so that I'm not just an anonymous website.

No, I didn't get the impression that you were selling the shirts pictured, but you list a bunch of terms at the bottom of one page. I have backed out of things before that wanted me to provide all kinds of information without giving me any idea of price first and that might turn off some folks. Maybe if you put on there somewhere in a large font that filling out the form is for quotes only. But then there is no guarantee that they will buy after they get the quote, which means you are going to be doing a lot of work coming up with quotes that might not generate a sale.

Has this caused you any issues? People showing up, or whatnot?

I just contacted my developer and ask him to change the tab to "tee-shirt quotes" from "order tee-shirts"

This is always a gamble but I'll hope I can sell as much as I can, it's out of my hands at that point;)....
Thank you again
I haven't had anyone show up yet. Maybe because they are looking for a business and all they see is a house. I've had a few people come here to pick stuff up or drop stuff off, but that's about it.

I got tired of doing quotes. They call, want a quote and when they find out how much it's going to cost you never hear from them again. In the meantime you're out all that time. Now I charge for quotes and tell them the amount will be deducted from their order.

And this works? people are ok with that? it seams fair to me as you say its really not a charge if they place an order...
Well you get a lot of people who are price shopping including competitors. They have no intention of buying they just want to waste your time. When someone really wants to buy something they buy right away. Or if they tell me they got a better price somewhere else I suggest to them that they go to the other printer.
