Simpleseps error to update user problem

I have a error screen that comes up on the screen when I open Simpleseps raster V1.2.2. It informs me that

An error to update has been detected , contact www.advancedshirts.com for support .

I do not believe it is an error in the Simplesep plugins and is something I have initiated . Yesterday my C drive was running out of space so I deleted some program's through the control panel . At the same time my computer had some critical updates so the issue may be from either operation . More likely some file I have deleted .

I am running windows 7 home premium and have checked there are no more updates for me . Coreldraw x6 version 16.4.0.1280 and there was one update I had not downloaded X6 hot fix 1 , downloaded that and still receive the message .

Restored my computer to an earlier restore point before I deleted files and no change . Uninstalled Simpleseps raster V1.2.2 through control panel and reinstalled program , problem still there .

I have Design base V 1.5.3 and it does detect an update 1.5.6 available
I receive the error to update message with
Fashion Factory 3
Simpleseps V3.0.9
Simpleseps V1.0.0

I have had some other issues in that I have Ecut 5 installed and if I update that program it becomes unusable . I cannot remember why now and did not want to update that for the fact that I loose that functionality .

I know it says to contact advancedshirts.com but it I think it is more of an issue with my operating system and it is Easter so if some computer geek knows how the update is initiated and why I receive and error message with most of the plugins but not design base I would be grateful .

Have a great Easter break , superb weather in this part of the world at the moment , very lucky .

Easiest solution is probably to uninstall your SimpleSeps and then reinstall.
You could also go into your C drive to programs, find SimpleSeps and see if it gives you the option to fix.

Thanks Denise I had already uninstalled Simpleseps and then re installed the program with the same error message still present . I do not think it has anything to do with the Simplesep plugins but a file somewhere else in my system . Think that is why the uninstalling and the reinstalling has no effect on the error message , not sure .
Sounds like you will have to uninstall and reinstall Corel. I have had other issues with other plug ins as well as Simple seps and a Corel, and all plugins wipe was needed if uninstalling a plugin didn't fix the issue

Hi Bernie,
I opened my CorelDraw X6 and I'm experiencing the same issues as you now. This is weird (and NOT good). I know that Tom and Jeff are working on the programs so that they'll work with x7 and I wonder if some auto update threw our programs out of whack.

TOM???
JEFF???

H E L P !

I just ran the repair in the Corel disc and no luck.
Hey Sean,
Have you tried yours tonight to see if you're having this issue too ?

Thanks for checking that Denise . I was going to wipe my hard drive and reload to try and clear what I thought was an error on my machine . The program still has full function so as long as we know it is just an update message error effecting multiple machines it is a minor thing . Jeff and Tom are most likely away enjoying a Easter getaway . This has been the best time for me to have a play around with Simpleseps raster and watch as many tutorials as I can . It is amazing what it can do . In one of the videos Jeff did it converted the objects to vector and did an incredible job at improving the artwork . We do not have the Simpleseps raster version that could output the objects as vector that was in the last version before they went back to the Skunk works to develop the new version .

Thanks for the help , how good is this forum ? , saved me from formatting my C: drive .

Denise did you just install some windows updates ? , I did before the problem first appeared .

It maybe a windows update I believe. I had a message that Microsucks had f****d up my PC. Uh I mean updated my PC.

I have a few add ins having issues but my is having a VB error including raster. For the last 2 months I have only been using the photoshop version.
I know Tom is working on the updates for Draw x7, the plugins are working fine the message is because they can not connect to the update database. When you open for example SSR it supposed to automatically check for new updates.

Thanks for that , good to hear that is all it is
Having the same problem with fashion factory!! Can't update!!
This just means the server is down or is being transferred. There has been no updates for a while. I am having a totally different issue. Simple seps raster and a few other plug ins by other developers I am having a Visual Basic error ever since the Corel update or a windows update.

Hi Sean , That would annoy me if I could not get Simpleseps to run in CorelDraw . I did have some issues in the past with one of the plugins and I followed these instructions in this post from Tom

http://www.t-shirtforums.com/graphics-design-help/t193936.html

and the problem was fixed . I am not sure if anyone else has the same problem you have but why not post all the details of the problem here . CorelDraw version and all the details of the error and hopefully when Tom or Jeff read this post they can help get you back with it all working . You have also paid good money for your plugin you are not using . Hopefully someone can help you here and we want to have you fixed before the next version of Simpleseps Raster comes out . We know that Tom and Jeff have been working a long time on the latest completely redesigned version and it is going to be an amazing piece of kit you need to exploring in CorelDraw with the rest of us when it comes out .

Thanks. I'm not worried though. It just happened last week. I'm just going go reload Corel and all my Corel plugins.

I'm not without plus I have all my weeks work already out putted and on film.
Should all be working now, we ran an server security update Friday that fudged the connection of the plugins to the server to check for updates. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks Tom , not an inconvenience as the plugin still worked . For me it just happened same day I removed some program's so I thought it was operator error my end .

Sean , good to hear your films are already printed and you are set . Do post if you cannot get it back up and running though .

Did you install MS Office? Or update MS Office. The installation of Office and one of updates breaks the VBA functionality of CorelDRAW. The only fix is to run a repair of from the installation file of DRAW or reinstall DRAW.

Thanks. That's what I was going to try. Since having office just update with windows updates I'm sure that's what it was.
