Hey folks,

I'm new to the world of vinyl and looking for tips on an entry level vinyl cutter for heat press vinyl. This will mostly be used to produce my own vinyl for my own company's workwear. Although I look to also begin trading on a very small scale (only a few bits and bobs a week in my free time). Once I get hooked and find the time to up the game, I'll look to upgrading to a more intermediate level machine if I find it's for me.

I'm set between the Silhouette Cameo, or Creation PCUT/UKCutter CT630H (with optical eye):

NEW UKCUTTER 64Mb CACHE CT630H VINYL CUTTER PLOTTER OPTICAL EYE QUICK AND SILENT | eBay

Any thoughts at all? My company logo has a block colour strip with small 3mm high Arial Bold text to be weeded out of the strip. Would these machines give good quality precise cuts for such small detail?

Any tips on the above (or any other models within the same price range) would be much appreciated, especially from users who have used both and produced very small intricate details. I like the simplicity of the Cameo, especially out of the box for a new user. However, I also prefer the larger cutting area of the PCUT. Although it all boils down to which provides the best quality clear cut, in particular with small detail.

Cheers,
Dean
