Should it be leaving this behind when pressed

This is a yellow outline after I press a photo on to a white shirt.
I used 375/25secs. Peeled hot. And did not come off like butter. Kinda stuck a little. I had read on one site to use 390/30secs but that didn't stop they yellow or make it peel like butter either.

The entire image is there in yellow. At the bottom what you can't see is the two lines of text that says MY GRANDMA LOVE ME
AND I LOVE MY DUCKY

It was printed in pink and also left a very faint yellowing of the the words.

Is this normal or do I have a setting wrong.
Using C120 with epson inks and did NOT -15 the yellow either. Colors on the printed shirt look okay. Doesn't appear to be any color shift.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

I also get the yellow left over on the backer paper, though it does not affect the image on the shirt. I also cannot get the JPSS to peel like butta, not like the Ironall peeled. The Ironall was amazing to peel, and smelled alot better (to me! :D). But I'll take the colorfastness of JPSS over those to features anyday. :)
Hi Mark,

..... and smelled alot better (to me! :D).
LOL!!
Bad girl!
:D
I get the same thing too.....but the image is not affected....or is it effected....LOL
whatever. :)

....I use HT inks.....not durabright.....or is it durabrite....LOL
Mark, the instructions that came with my jpss said 350 for 15-18 seconds. get such great results, after going through a 100 foot test roll this past week our QC gave us the go ahead to use it exclusively for our school promo programs nationwide! distributor also said m/light to medium pressure.

I've just started using JPSS. My instructions said 375 for 30 sec with firm pressure & I didn't have great results. I'm wondering why different distributors give such varied instructions. Does anyone know what the manufacturer recommends?
375 for 30 seconds heavy pressure are the instructions I have. The manufacturer told my friend you can go as high as 400 degrees and increase dwell time a bit longer for whatever that is worth.
I did not get instructions with mine but when I called back she said 350/15-18. Maybee they just get in a hurry with so many different products, could have made a mistake. With dark she said 350 at 8-10 seconds. I did a wash test and did not get exceptable results after only one wash but had her wash them on hot and hot dry.

.....just did a press last night and I had to go down to 362° because 375 scorched the shirt a little.
Pressed at 30 secs. Pressure set a #7
Anvil 100% cotton

I did have a "ghost" image of ink(for lack of a better term) left on the sheet after I peeled.
......But the shirt looked great!

NOTE:
Printed on an Epson C120 set at BEST PHOTO
when I do a pre heat on the shirt should I let it cool down some before pressing jpss? when I press on higher heat I get a "pulled up" fabric feel. We did alot of tests friday then came back Monday with less favorable results. does anyone think that media settings on roland vp 540 has much influence on outcome since I get a good print before transfer on several. example: textile, glossy calandered, flag, and premium cast all give me the same print. Any experience with roland settings for jpss

Thank You
