Hey guys. I've spent many months creating a new site I'd really like you guys to check out:

shirtseek.com

It's a t-shirt search engine where users (designers or non-) can submit shirts, and everyone can rate and discuss them.

You may have seen some "other" site pop up recently that's been getting a lot of buzz lately. Though we've been online longer, it's been very hard getting the same sort of interest rolling. I would really love it if you folks could check shirtseek out, give me feedback, and possibly even join the community and participate - if you like what you see.

I feel like the site I've made is genuinely different (and better in a number of ways), than the others that are currently out there. By putting the power in the hands of the site's users, I've tried to create more of a "digg" community for the t-shirt world, instead of another "Google". For those of you who are t-shirt designers, you now have the opportunity to add your works into the mix (for free), and hopefully gain more exposure in the process.

Shirtseek is still in it's infancy, and I'm still rolling out a number of updates as I feverishly work on them. It doesn't help that I feel like I'm getting sidelined while the other site is getting all the attention - so I'd really like to get some buzz going - that is, if you think the site is worthy of it.

So please, let me know what you think - and if you feel like participating or adding your own works in - even better!

Thanks for your time. I look forward to your responses.

I like it, haven't visited one like this before. The only suggestion I would have is perhaps making your background a color. With the t shirt templates on the white, I found it fuzzy and there isn't alot for the eye to land on, if that makes sense. But great concept!

Hi Paul. Nice clean site. Just two quick comments.

On some of the templates, the surround of the image is a slightly different colour to the template, so it doesn't blend in as it should. Just needs 'tweaking'.

I would like to see better info on the print method used for individual shirts. Am I buying dtg, vinyl, sublimated, or transfer?

Apart from that, it's looking good.

Thanks for your feedback, everyone. I really appreciate the suggestions and kind words.

To address a couple of things specifically:

@tqd95wn: your confirmation email should have arrived. Sometimes it's not as quick as I'd like, but within an hour it should have gotten there. If not, let me know and I'll have it resent.

Yeah that's tricky. We match as best as we can, but if the edges of the thumbnail image are not uniform (for instance a photo of a real shirt), then some of the edges will not match as well as we'd like. In the future we may get more sophisticated in generating the composites, but for now that'll have to do.

Great ideas. If the descriptions of the shirts have that info, you'll be able to search on it - likewise if the users tag the shirts when submitting. Other than that it'll be hard for us to know that information unless we do some serious digging.
