i haven;t shipped any t shirts by DHL but i have shipped a lot of other stuff,(i used to have a Consignment Business on eBay) with DHL and i always got a better deal with them i shipped a Tiffany style lamp with UPS, the first time i used them, they smashed it, also the customer agreed with me it was not my fault as far as packing it,also i shipped a lot of small stuff through USPS Domestic and Out of the country.

As i said in my Post i do not ship stuff any more but,US Postal Service is probably the Cheapest way to go with Bubble wrap Envelopes or some kind of envelope Call your Local Post Office.

Sorry i did not get to you sooner.
US Postal Service Has a (Free) (they give you the envelopes), (they are card board light weight) Flat Rate envelope it was $4.05 to ship one Im not sure what it is now, no matter what the weight, or where it is going it is the same rate
