Shipping a filled CIS

I have a CIS that I no longer need. I'm interested in selling or trading it, but I don't want to list a classified if it is not practical to ship it. Can I tape over the ink ports? Should I empty the carts and tanks back to the bottles? Or would it be better to stretch wrap the whole thing together and ship it filled? Or is it something that just shouldn't be shipped once used?
