Hi guys, new to this obviously. Ive been looking at t shirts for quite a while now and I see that there is some cotton t shirts that are almost sateen like shiny (not like tin foil ha!). Looking to get these. Rumour has it that they are a fabric made in Portugal.
Any guesses

What ya'll are looking for is "Mercerized Cotton T-Shirt"

It's very unlikely that you will find a standard t-shirt wholesaler offering this type of tee. As you can see from the search results in the link above, you may be able to find some at a price point low enough to make small runs, but if you are looking to have this as the standard tee in your line, it seem like you only have a couple options:

• Go direct to a manufacturer to have your own custom tees made. If you aren't going to be able to make 500+ custom tees, you will need to research Contract Cut & Sew facilities in your area. Just be aware that either way you will be paying a lot of money for your initial run of shirts.

• Go for a Pima cotton blank. Pima cotton will have that same softness and some sheen, and I can tell you from experience that they print well. Alternative Apparel has a great Pima Cotton blank. The actual printability of Mercerized Cotton is also something to consider..

• Try finding some of the cheaper versions of Mercerized Cotton tees at retail to test out and make samples. It's highly recommended to make and wear samples of what you intend to become the staple blank of your collections. That's the only way to know for sure that it will work for you.

Hope this helps..
