Hi all,

If I want to make a sew-and-cut garment, would I need to hire a professional pattern maker, or can I just send the factory a piece of a garment which looks exactly like the one I want, and get them to make it?

If yes, do I need to buy all sizes of that garment and send to them as samples? Would I still need a pattern maker in that case?

It depends on the factory. They will tell you what you need.

If you are looking for an exact fit, then yes. Regardless of what the factory tells you.
