A few questions.
  • What do you think of the R 1800 Epson for printing heat transfers.
  • Where or what is the best and lest expensive paper heat transfer paper for doing transfers to light color tee’s Dark color tee’s.
  • Any opinions on coastal papers?
  • Anything special I should know before I place an order for paper?

Thank you,

Wally

Ok, as a former Epson rep here is my opinion. The R1800, which replaces the 1280, is great for large format printing. If you're doing 11 x17 prints then this is the way to go, but, and there is always a but. The R1800 uses 8 inks. Great for photos but really not needed for shirts. That is a lot of ink and costly. It will cost you an average 75 to $1.00 printing cost per sheet. It also uses a dye ink which is water resistant but not water proof. The pigment ink used on c88 and my cx7800 is almost water proof and more fade resistant than the dye inks. My average cost per sheet is 35 to 50 cents a sheet. (8x10)
