Well, I am at my wits end. I got an almost new 1280 with some other stuff. Printed a nozzle check and have perfect lines. I have spent the afternoon trying to get the ink heavy/dark enough to make a transparency. Nothing I do seems to make it happen. I am using Corel X5 for the artwork and color seps. I downloaded a trial version of Power Rip and it did the trick but I really do not need the half tone capability at this time. Pllus it prints their watermark. I just need to be able to burn some screens for a simple 2 color job...

Any 1280 guys ut there have any ideas...

Yup, I am a newby at thescreenprint biz...

After your seperations in your graphics program change 100K color to 100C 100M 100Y 100k. This will print from all channels. Then print. Choose photo or best photo and premium photo glossy paper. This should give you very dark films.
