I do my design work in corel X3. When setting up my white underbase, how much larger should I make my top color so that it covers the underbase? Would a 1 pt outline be wide enough, or should I make it wider?
Normally .5 - 1 point stroke. Some times we may even go 1.35-2 pints depending on the art work an item. Almost all jobs are .5-1 point. Also you may want to make sure your line stroke is set from center, inside or outside. For a example a 1 pt stroke set to center would really be .5. Also consider if you have tight screens and a press with a high registration tolerance.
