Setting up a trailer retail display in Home Depot parking lot???

So...There is this big softball tournament right next to Home Depot, and I travel to these tournaments selling retail merchandise, mostly our own apparel.
I've been told that I'm not allowed to set up at this particular softball tournament due to conflicting interests with other vendors. long story..
anyway...

has anyone asked about setting up in a Parking Lot, whether its Home Depot or a strip of stores parking lot?

if so, how did you go about doing that?

Ask to talk to the store manager. Offer some free hats or something to park there.
My wife is an Operations Manager at Home Depot and its HIGHLY unlikely they will allow you to do any type of for-profit sales on their property
I also set up a trailer selling merchandise every week in a different town 99.856816 % of big retailers will not allow. The manager usually says they will contact home office and ask, if they actually do contact in a week or two they say home office says no, that way they are off the hook for sayimg no, and usually say insurance wont cover. I carry a 2mill. Liability policy and can name the company as additional covered and the company faxes them the coverage letter. But its still no for some other reason or the other so now I dont even try big companies any more. I am set up in odesa this week on a closed up donut shop in the middle of town ist a bigger town then I usually do but its my last week in west texas before I go to south texas for a coupple of weeks then head to Washington state vial northern cal for the summer

That is nothing new, not allowing vendors at an event, like you said another topic on it's own, but how about setting up at the host hotel (of course if they have one) and take your trailer or a small display and take orders.
Maybe you can do what's called a pop up store. If there is an empty retail store close to the venue maybe you can rent it for a week or so. Pop up stores are popular for Halloween costumes. Waterford does it several times a year by us. All depends on the town and property owner. Waterford hangs a banner for signage and puts ads in the local papers.

this is something you can do by renting a room there.
