Hello,

I am printing a job that requires two spot colors of different opacities to blend and make several shades of colors. Do I need to change the screen angle when printing the film, or can I keep the same screen angles for both?

Thanks in advance for any help.

They can be the same angle. However you will have to change the default angle as this setting is for standard offset printing. There is as many preferred angle settings as there is screenprinters. Anywhere from 25 to 60 degrees depending on what expert you listen too. I would experiment with settings somewhere between those extremes until I found the setup that worked best for me. The reason we change the angles and shape of our dots is to avoid a moray pattern that can appear when you combine the mesh pattern of the screen with the mesh pattern of the garment. So knowing that these factors are variable (Ie... Different mesh count screens and different style and material of garments.) there really is no universal setting that fits all applications. Hope this helps.
