Separation Studio and Newman Flash Panels

So I am about to purchase some mesh for my 23x28 Newman frames. (12 frames)
I have a 6/6 manual Vastex and am going to start getting into simulated process which will be separated by Separation Studio.
They recommend having all the same mesh count, and for a manual they seem to recommend 280.
I wanted to try out some Newman Flash Panels and they happen to be on sale right now, so I was wondering if anyone with some experience with Separation Studio and Newman Flash Panels on a manual press could chime in and let me know if the N272 mesh would be a good choice. They say that this is comparable to a 230 to 280.
