I have an idea for a funny t-shirt and was wondering if there are companies who can take my idea, design the shirt, market and sell the shirt and just give me a percentage of the sales they make? I don't have the time or the know how to do it myself and it's only one idea so starting my own company wouldn't make sense. Anybody have any ideas that could help? Thanks in advance.

If your actual design is already done, you could enter it into a contest like Threadless T-Shirts - Designer Clothing Submissions - Tees, Tshirts and T shirts!, Design By Humans T-shirts - New T-shirt designs everyday - Cool Tees Designer Shirts - T shirt Art Contest or Woot Shirt : One Shirt, No Shoes, No Service (SM). They pay if your design is voted on and printed.

Try to find a tshirt printer who sells stuff similar to the design you have created. They may be willing to pay a percentage of the sales for your design. Send them an email. I would be suprised if most of the websites you find are NOT maintained by the tshirt designer. Their contact information is almost always on the website. The worst they can say is NO.

Frankly, the toughest part of tshirt design is the actual creation of the design. At least for me, it takes a long time to create a design. If you can give them another tshirt, with little to no effort, it's like gravy.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't mind sharing.
