Hey forum!

I wanted to get some insight as to why i rarely see this? Most of my work is sold per design, rarely do i get a brand that will buy a bulk order of designs (10+).

I should say i have worked with Labels that buy in bulk quiet often and it works for them.

It's confusing to me that a brand will continually return for 3 designs at a time, costing them more than just buying a bulk order once. It could be attributed to them being cautious - but if the design includes full exclusive rights it's not as if they are tied down to it?

I have heard of larger companies doing this before, but i have yet to encounter one, is it a myth?!

Would just like to hear the thoughts from other designers on here!

Thanks!

It's more that clothing lines don't need 10 designs at a time, rather just 3 at that moment and then will work out something with those three and then another three and so on and so forth.

I agree with Kabir. It's a matter of what the client needs at that time. And they have to go get the designs printed, so maybe they are restricted on the number of shirts they can afford.
I agree, but for the larger companies i have worked with i never understood why they don't do it. They are printing a large number of designs all the time - no specific "seasons" etc. Has me puzzled!
