Screen Water Marks

Hi everyone! After reclaiming our screens and letting them dry, I notice there are some water marks on the screen. The screen (and where the mesh is glued to the frame) is thoroughly cleaned. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance.

I think this may be 'ghosting'. It doesn't come out on the print. You can remove it with 'haze remover' which is a nasty little caustic chemical gel.
It's not a ghost image though, it's just water marks dried in random places on the screen. Any ideas?
Do you have hard water in your area?
Sounds like that. Maybe rinse them again and see what happens.
Might have been a fluke.
It happens on almost every screen. We just moved into a new warehouse (not too far from the old one) and it's the first time this happens, never happened in the old place...
It seems to always happen to me too and really don't find out until I go to print and the ink doesn't go through the mesh in that spot. Any ideas??

Hey Air2008 - can you show us pictures of what you are talking about? Sometimes it's easier to diagnose a problem when we can see what is happening.

Yeah, see to me that says that it does have something to do with the water at your new place.
maybe deposits built up in those water pipes.
Are they galvanized pipes? I wonder if you couldn't get a inline water filter thats hooked in before your pressure washer. Do you have a Grainger store in your area? A pain, yeah, but I bet the filter would take care of the problem.
What kind of filter and where do I attach it? Can I get it at Home Depot?

I'm not sure if Home Depot would carry one...you'd have to ask. You want an inline water filter that removes contaminants.
You would attach it after the water valve (that you attach your pressure washer to...) but before you pressure washer.
Home Depot might have something like that to use before a hot water heater or something.
Otherwise, check industrial supply places, like Grainger.(they're online too.)
