What size screens do you guys use for printing the average prints for t-shirts. Is front different from the back?

Also, for Coroplast/Corrugated 18" x 24" signs?
Just trying to order my first screens and keeping the cost as low as possible.

Thanks,
Glenn

Actually, most t-shirts that you see in stores are printed with 23x31 size frames on automatic printing presses. 23x31 is a common size for autos and 20x24 is a common size for manual presses. Sometimes people use 19x22 but for the money, you might as well get some 20x24.

We use 23 x 31 on our manual press. We print a lot of 1 & 2 color jobs that have left chest & full rear designs, and in most cases, we can fit both on one screen. Tape over one side on the top side, print the other design, tape that design on the bottom of the screen, remove tape from the top side of the other design, flip the screen around, and print the other design. When finished, remove tape from bottom side of screen, and only 1 screen to clean up after the job is done. Saves room on storage also.

Yea, there are a lot of people who print with 23x31 on a manual press. Some presses don't allow you to fit those size screens in the heads next to each other.

There's also a ton of oversized and "all-over" printing being done right now with large sized screens. These can range anywhere from 30x40 or larger.
