Hi Sabrina
Excellent question!
By looking at the MSDS from any screen reclaiming chemical,
it becomes apparent that there is one "active ingredient" found in all the available products.
The liquid form is called Periodic Acid and the dry form is called Sodium Metaperiodate.
(Sometimes, detergents or citric acid is added to slightly boost performance)
You can buy this chemical from suppliers is a huge variety of differing concentrations meant to mix with water at various ratios.
Any of them work well in properly mixed solutions,
along with correct application methods and often, a pressure sprayer.
Happy trails!
